AVOID the PAIN of WINDOWS 8 !
Tired of Windows Operating System? Fed up of getting Viruses & Malware or has Windows 8 just confused you?…read on…
On April 8, 2014, Microsoft ceased support of Windows XP, but many people are not making the transition to Windows 8 / Windows 8.1. Indeed, according to an Internet survey, enterprise or coporate Windows XP users are especially reluctant to migrate to Windows 8, so what are you going to use for your desktop operating system in 2014? Well, Linux, and in particular Linux Ubuntu, is now a very good operating system in it’s own right. After using every version of Windows over the years, I believe the time has come to move over to a Linux operating system, such as Linux Ubuntu.
So what is wrong with Microsoft Windows?
Before I reveal what is good about Linux Ubuntu, I want to cover what is wrong with Microsoft Windows. Although it looks nice, after a while the beauty does wears out, and you’re left with a very slow. sluggish and unstable Operating System, many broken dependencies and registry entries, errors and freezes that occur almost at random, terrible security, and that dreaded blue screen of death. Linux Ubuntu, on the other hand, can run continuously for several years without ever needing a reboot, is super customizable, and is virtually immune to malware / viruses.
Why Linux Ubuntu?
- Ubuntu is free, yes, Free !
- It is very fast on up to date hardware, lightening fast in fact
- Installation process is very easy to follow
- Can run very efficiently on older, slower hardware – breath new life into your old Windows XP PC!
- Will detect and install virtually all of your existing devices, e.g. wireless card, Printers etc – No driver discs needed !
- Very secure, more secure than Microsoft Windows 8.
- Virtually immune to malware / viruses
